    Agreement to our Legal Terms

    We are ABYLANG ("Company," "we," "us," "our"). These Legal Terms constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and ABYLANG, concerning your access to and use of the ABYLANG website.

    You agree that by accessing the Site, you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Legal Terms. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE LEGAL TERMS, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SITE AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.

    1. Our Services

    ABYLANG provides a platform for users to book and participate in Amharic language lessons with a tutor. The tutor may record sessions for quality assurance and for your personal review. These recordings are for your educational use only and will not be shared publicly or with third parties without your explicit consent.

    2. User Accounts & Obligations

    When you create an account, you must provide information that is accurate and current. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities under your account. To ensure progress and get the most value from our structured curriculum, students are responsible for completing any assigned materials or homework before their next lesson.

    3. User Conduct & Intellectual Property

    You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose. All learning materials, including but not limited to PDFs, notes, and video recordings provided to you, are the exclusive intellectual property of ABYLANG. You further agree not to:

    • Harass, abuse, or threaten others.
    • Violate any intellectual property rights of the Company or any third party.
    • Record, reproduce, or distribute any part of a lesson or our materials for public or commercial purposes. Personal recording for private study is permitted but not for redistribution.
    • Attempt to solicit the tutor for private lessons outside of the ABYLANG platform.
    • Engage in fraudulent activity.

    4. Bookings, Payments, and Cancellations

    Payment is handled via our secure third-party processor (Paddle). Upon successful payment, your booking is automatically confirmed by our system. Our full cancellation, refund, and rescheduling policies are detailed on our official Booking & Refund Policy page, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.

    In the rare event that the tutor must cancel a lesson, you will be notified immediately and offered the choice of a full credit or a full refund, as per our policy.

    5. Testimonials

    If you submit a testimonial, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute your testimonial and any accompanying photos in any media for marketing and promotional purposes.

    6. Limitation of Liability

    Our service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. In no event will we be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

    7. Term and Termination

    We reserve the right to deny access to and use of the Site to any person for any reason, including for breach of these Legal Terms.

    8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

    These Legal Terms and your use of the Services are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where ABYLANG is registered, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution is not reached, the dispute shall be resolved through binding online arbitration services agreed upon by both parties.

    We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
